Featured Presentation – “Shatter the Stigma”

Rogers InHealth creates, implements and promotes resources that incorporates stories of lived experiences to decrease stigma in communities, families and individuals living with mental illness. Research has shown one of the most effective ways to reduce stigma associated with mental health disease and addictions is to share stories about treatment and recovery.

At this year’s Gala, guests will hear first-hand stories from past patients and community members of how they have experienced stigma in their lives and what they are doing to combat this issue, both personally and publicly. The prevalence of mental health and addiction challenges makes it likely that we will be forced to deal with stigma at some point in our lives. Join us in our mission to promote the inclusion of all who are faced with challenges, and how the power of story creates strength and support.
