This year, grab your co-workers and organize a collection drive to support patients in need at Rogers Memorial Hospital. In preparation for the upcoming holiday season, Rogers Foundation’s Angel Fund is collecting new gift donations for children ages 4 through 17 enrolled in Rogers Memorial Hospital’s behavioral health programs.
Gifts can be as simple as items such as Silly Putty, department store gift cards, gas cards, or even cash donations that will go toward specialized equipment and therapeutic outings for patients. For further ideas or details on possible gift donations, click here.
This past year, over $39,000 in donations went toward helping patients with transportation, lodging, clothing, and medicinal needs. Giving to the fund shows patients that they aren’t alone and that the community surrounding Rogers truly supports their journey to recovery. Donations for Rogers Foundation Holiday Giving Drive can be dropped off at Ben Franklin, Culver’s of Oconomowoc, or the YMCA at Pabst Farms. The Foundation is requesting gifts for the holidays by December 10th, but general donations are gratefully received throughout the year.
Gloria, a mother of one of Rogers past patients explained to her daughter, who was excited with the gift of new beds, where they came from. “Katie from Rogers did the Angel Fund program and these beds were given to you by such wonderful people!”
Vice President of Rogers Foundation, Matthias Schueth, explained the importance of what the Angel Fund does for its patients. “Donating to the Angel Fund during the holidays gives the community the opportunity to partake and make a direct impact on Rogers’ patients that are going through the recovery process. These donations positively affect our patients in ways that could be sometimes hard to imagine. A little can really go a long way.”
