Thanks to MSI General Corporation, the children in treatment at Rogers will have the chance to rip the wrapping paper from a gift of their own this holiday, even though they are away from home.
The Santa wannabes at MSI donated $500 worth of toys and gift cards as part of the company’s True Blue initiative, a program in which they regularly select and support the work of a local organization. Normally held quarterly, MSI dedicated the month of December to the Rogers’ toy drive.
“MSI General is a family,” said Kelly Frank, MSI Administrative Manager and a member of the Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation Women’s Luncheon Committee. “MSI has a ‘Fun Committee,’ and part of our goal is to give back to the community.”
The challenge went out to employees… fill the large collection box in the front of the office to the top. With 80% of employees sharing a gift or making a donation – which MSI matched, dollar for dollar – they met their goal!
“Rogers Memorial Hospital has made a difference in the lives of so many with their life-saving treatment,” explained Frank. “We believe in coming together to help support the work that Rogers Memorial Hospital is providing to people in our community. Even the smallest contribution can make a big difference in someone’s life.”
MSI employees – we’ll be sure to let Santa know how nice you’ve been this season! Thank you for your generosity!
Next up: May is National Mental Health Awareness Month
While the holidays are an especially critical time, we would be happy to assist you with a “Give for a Better Day” drive anytime of the year. If you are part of a civic organization, or if you have a friend or family member who owns a business, a coping skills drive is an excellent way to help patients at Rogers fill their emotional toolkit with small, but effective, therapeutic items. Contact Linda Schieble or go to MyRogers for details.
