Thanks to generous donors, the Angel Fund was able to help Luke and his family stay near Rogers Behavioral Health – Tampa Bay in order to attend the day treatment program for OCD.
Making The Journey Easier
A gift from the Angel Fund not only provides patients with something they really need, but it is also a symbol of your support. It tells them that people truly care about them and that they are not alone in their struggle. Patients at Rogers Memorial Hospital depend on your donation to make their journey to recovery easier.
Here are some examples of how the Angel Fund makes a difference in the lives of patients and families:
Gas cards enable parents to travel to family therapy sessions.
Overnight accommodations give young adults the opportunity to stay in the area to attend a half-day program at Rogers.
Special parties and gifts allow children in treatment to experience the joy of the holiday season.
Soft blankets and stuffed animals provide cozy objects to snuggle with during times of need.
Your donation of new, unused items or monetary gifts will help make the treatment process more comfortable.
This Wish List includes items that will help both children and adults cope with the anxiety of being in treatment, or visit My Rogers for more information on how you can organization your own “Give for a Better Day” donation drive in support of the Angel Fund at Rogers.
“The children we serve in the Child & Adolescent Day Treatment program at Rogers – Milwaukee come from families who struggle with a variety of stressors on a daily basis.
When the holidays come around, many of our kids do not expect much. Yet through the Angel Fund, we are able to provide a holiday party that provides an experience of a lifetime – decorating sugar cookies, completing a holiday craft, gingerbread houses and games.
Imagine their surprise when a great day is made awesome by the arrival of holiday gifts. Some of our little ones asked that we re-wrap their gifts so that come Christmas, they would have something under the tree.”
